Summer Update:

We had a nice time on our Yellow Bicycle adventure. The tandem was the best. Kate didn't like my wobbling stearing, but it was sure memorable

Dad, Mom, and adorable Anna (that's my niece) on their surrey ride. The surrey was quaint and cute, but not very fast. You had to peddle twice as hard to keep up with a regular bike.

And then there was the great visit from Rachel! We had such a nice time together. Feeding calves has never been such an adventure. Rachel kept me laughing so much...for those who know her just ask her about it (her adventure with the ruptured, gysering milk line and the possesed bantam chicken, and feeding the dumbest calves. : ) ) Good memories.

How cute....Misha and Rachel.

These are some pictures from our little vacation to the lake in our backyard (only and hour away.) Lake Erie is pretty and it's even better because its part of what I call home. We went on a boat tour and saw the usuals...lighthouses, boats, shoreline, and water if you'd believe it. The best and very short part of the tour was the very choppy water on the open lake, but the driver (No I guess he's called the captain) thought we weren't enjoying it so we went back to the flat-as-a-pond bay. Next time I want to ride with someone who appreciates the adventures of the open seas!

Pirate ships still sail these waters........The beautiful brig Niagra, next summer I'm going to spend a night on that ship....Anyone want to come along? Seriously you can pay $60 for a night on the Niagra and rigging lessons to boot!

Lady Kate with Sister Kate (and little niece cute-as-a-button Becka). Kate was my commrade this day as she helped nurse me back to health, shall we say. We were running along the surf when I stepped on a broken shell, no big deal. Pull it out and keep going. On the ride from the car to the washrooms though I lost way more blood than is normal and as we walked back the sidewalk it was kinda suprising to see a little trail I'd left behind from my "little" cut. Kate helped get it all cleaned up though and I hobbled around for about a week, and now it's all good. Those midwives know everything, Thanks Kate!
